Indoor Farmers' Market Debuts in Pleasantville

Middle School hosts the first-ever village event that will run through the winter.

The Pleasantville Indoor Farmers' Market marked its grand opening in the village following a ceremonial ribbon-cutting at the Pleasantville Middle School on Saturday morning.

The new venture is backed by the Village of Pleasantville and is run by the new non-profit organization Foodchester.

This morning, an eager crowd picked favorite foods including fruits, vegetables, meats, fish, pickles, cakes and other treats.

The market will run on Saturdays through May 11 from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m.
