The image above, of Little Seed Gardens spring produce, sums up the joy shoppers feel about the Market as it rolls into June. Cowberry Crossing has mounds of perfect mesclun and spinach, J&A Farm has special seedlings for gardeners, Madura Farms has fresh mushrooms and rhubarb, and Mead Orchards, Newgate Farms, and Madura Farms are all getting very close to bringing strawberries to market. Simply Planted Greenhouses and Shawangunk Growers are offering terrific plants for the patio or flowers beds, and The River Garden has colorful bouquets to celebrate spring at the dinner table. Jump into June at the grill with regional oysters, grass fed beef, or chicken thighs from Yellow Bell Farm or new Campanelli Poultry Farm. Later this month, on June 28, is the ever popular Market Tie Dye T-Shirt Day. It just seems like the delicious good time will never end now that the Pleasantville Farmers Market and the Village are celebrating the great outdoors!

Great Weather, Great Events
Where else will you have the chance to watch your kids create a strawberry rhubarb tart, and then catch some Mozart or Brahms before heading home-- all under such nice sunny skies? Saturday the Market welcomes back Chef Laura to help children create a delicious fresh fruit tart that they can take home to bake. The event will begin at 9:30am in the Kids Event area, and run until supplies run out.
The Market also welcomes back accomplished guitarist Oren Fader and mezzo soprano Jessica Bowers, who together form The Bowers-Fader Duo. Oren and Jessica have performed at some of the most prestigious venues in the country and Europe. Saturday from 10am - 12pm they will share with us their takes on Mozart, Falla, Brahms, Weill, and perform original compositions as well. And if you shout "Rush!" you might just hear Oren's classical guitar go prog-rock!
