Jumpin' Into June

Pleasantville Farmers Market is open Saturday, 8:30am - 1:00pm

The Pleasantville Farmers Market jumps into June this Saturday with rhubarb, asparagus, radishes, greens and more. And strawberries will be in soon. Visitors will find Pleasantville Music Festival volunteers offering the opportunity to buy tickets in advance of the July 8 festival (8:30am-12:30pm). ARC Stages will host a theater games workshop in the Kids Event area (9:30am-11:00am) and the Pleasantville Farmers Market Music Series presents live, raucous Balkan fusion by Tipsy Oxcart (10:00am-12:00pm). Advance Notice: Harper Keehn Knife Sharpening will be in NEXT week June 10, and the following, June 17. Who Has Eggs?

Campanelli's Poultry Farm and Wright's Farm do, and they're located toward the north of the marketplace. Yellow Bell Farm provides fresh eggs and is located near the south entrance to the Market. And Cowberry Crossing Farm carries a small supply of eggs produced on their Certified Organic and Biodymanic farm.

Orwasher's Levain Locale

Orwasher's Bakery is highlighting their Levain Locale. Using NYS grown & milled wheat, durum flour, water, wheat bran, rye biga, starter and malt. Produced with 100% natural fermentation. A wonderful and hearty rustic bread to compliment any dinner, whether grilled, on the side for dipping, or to create panini.

Kriemhild Dairy Farms

Kriemhild Dairy Farms will arrive with their salted and unsalted Kriemhild Meadow Butter from grass fed cows. They'll also have Kriemhild Creme Fraiche, and the complete line of Trimona plain and flavored Bulgarian Yogurt. Recipe tip: replace mayo with creme fraiche in your summer slaw recipes for a delicious, tangy taste.

Bombay Emerald Chutney Company

Edgwick Farm

They will also have more family-size desserts than usual including Apple Crumb Pies and Red White & Blueberry Cake (an almond-based moist cake with raspberry jelly and blueberries).

The Pleasantville Music Festival is back again for an 13th year this summer on July 8. Festival representatives visit the Market this Saturday to highlight this terrific Village event. Kids Market Sprouts Event: 9:30am - 11:00am

Join the Educational Stage of Arc Stages for an open theater games workshop. Children are invited to sample some of our favorite theater games that teach cues, commitment, teamwork, and acting technique, while having lots of fun!

Music Series: 10:00am - 12:00pm

Tipsy Oxcart serves up raucous Balkan music, infusing with the sounds of South-Eastern Europe with elements of jazz, funk, and more. Enjoy violin solos, accordion grooves, lively clarinet, and a fun rhythm section. To hear some of their work click here.
