Keep The Market Essential
Place preorders from our vendors Tues, 7:00pm – Thurs, 7:00pm. Then walk up Saturday, 8:30am – 1:00pm, to gather your preorders shop further

Last year shoppers strongly supported Pleasantville's new outdoor winter market model, which offers an easy way to preorder from all producers with a single click to pay, shorter market hours once the north winds start to blow (Dec - March), and a guarantee the items you love are waiting for you each Saturday.
Pleasantville Farmers Market has made it a focus to help shoppers continue their year-round relationships with producers since our first winter market in 2013. We've lined up another delicious, winter season (our 9th!), but we'll need enough shoppers like you to pull things off. So please continue to keep the Market an essential part of your weekly shopping. In doing so you'll help the Market sustain the livelihood of our farmers and food artisans. All November we'll have volunteers in the Market available to answer questions about PFM-O and the winter market.
Parking note for 11/6: Our main lot is open again.

Calling All Harvest Heroes
& Winter Warriors!
Last year we established our first annual fundraising campaign. We timed it with the winter season to encourage support for your year-round vendors, and so we could provide relevant thank you gifts to donors such as warm PFM winter hats, and the waiving of PFM-O service fees December - March. Thanks so much if you contributed in this way last winter! This year we're back with a call for support and we again have some fun, complementary thank you items. Donations can be made through PFM-O. Here's the details:

CRAFTING A GREAT NOVEMBER
November brings visits to the Pleasantville Farmers Market by regional craftspersons, with items developed on the farm, or made with a culinary theme. All November The River Garden offers stunning dried floral items (weather permitting). This Saturday Living Edge Designs is in with unique cutting boards and more (they'll visit on 11/13 & 11/20 too). Next Saturday, 11/13 Alpacatrax brings skeins of wool from their own alpaca herd and finished wool items, including thick wool socks. And on 11/13 and 11/20 Sharper Harper (aka Harper Keehn Knife & Tool Sharpening) will visit. So in addition to being able to shop the fall harvest all month you can decorate for the upcoming holidays, sharpen those knives and gather some gifts too.

Bread Alone Bakery has been a popular vendor for many years, but their business is growing and changing. Unfortunately, after suffering inventory problems throughout 2021, they've made the decision to focus on other parts of their business. As such, they have decided to withdraw from Pleasantville Farmers Market after November 20th. We thank them for being part of our Market, and wish them well. Orwashers Bakery and Bobolink Dairy & Bakehouse continue with us year-round (including all winter) with their baked goods. And we'll find a new bread baker for next spring to serve our shoppers' needs.
Phelps Health Tip:
Lead Sponsor Phelps Hospital Northwell Health shares the following "Kale is an excellent source of beta-carotene, vitamins C and K, as well as a healthy dose of calcium. Something many people don't know is that the leaves of vegetables are richest in nutrient content. The darker the leaves, the greater the vitamins and minerals. You can enjoy your kale many ways including raw, braised, sauteed, or in a soup".
Out of cash at the Market? Use your debit or credit card (8:30am - 12:00pm) to receive Market Bucks at the Manager's Tent.
KNOW BEFORE YOU GO
Pleasantville Farmers Market remains committed to the health and safety of the whole community, including shoppers, vendors, volunteers, and staff.
Mask wearing for unvaccinated shoppers (including children under 12) is required, and all shoppers are requested to maintain physical distancing in the marketplace.
Because many our food artisans sell delicious treats that can be consumed at the Market, physically distanced tables and chairs are provided on our grass area for families to enjoy their treats together, mask-free.
Avoid the Market if you're sick. Especially so if you exhibit any symptoms of the COVID-19 virus (temperature of 100° or above, a cough, a sore throat, shortness of breath). The New York State Department of Health has set up a hotline at (888) 364-3065 where Department of Health experts are available to answer questions regarding COVID-19.
