UPDATED: Knifepoint Robbery at Pleasantville Gas Station

Police are investigating the early morning robbery that took place on Pleasantville Road.

In the 29 years he has owned on Pleasantville Road, Ron—who declined to provide his last name—said he has never been robbed.

"He got robbed at about a quarter after six this morning," said Ron of his employee, Al Wasim. "He was counting the money from the weekend when two guys came in and demanded the money."

Ron said the pair brandished a knife at Wasim, who was standing just inside the gas station's storefront entrance.

Wasim said he was also shoved by one of the men He said he was not hurt in the altercation.

Wasim described handing the men all the station's cash — approximately $1,380. The two then ran from the scene. He was unable to describe the vehicle they left in.

officers would not comment on the robbery, except to say that is remains under investigation.

Ron said he never installed security cameras at the quiet Pleasantville Road gas station because he never felt it was necessary.

"I've never been robbed in 30 years," he said.
