Last Chance: Primary Voter Registration

A roundup of upcoming deadlines for Briarcliff Manor and Pleasantville residents.

We know residents in Pleasantville and Briarcliff have busy lives, so we want to make things a little easier by reminding you about those approaching deadlines. Do you know of a deadline in the next week that's not included here? Two voting deadlines this week:

  • First off, it's the last week to have a say in which local businesses win  in categories ranging from burgers and hair salons to nursery schools. Polls are open until Friday, Aug. 17, so get voting. 
  • In official election news, Friday, Aug. 17 is also an important registration deadline for state and local primaries:

MAIL REGISTRATION 
Application must be postmarked no later than August 17 and received by the Board of Elections no later than August 24 to be eligible to vote in the State & Local Primary.

IN PERSON REGISTRATION 
You may register at your local board of elections or any state agency participating in the National Voter Registration Act, on any business day throughout the year but, to be eligible to vote in the State and Local Primary, your application must be received no later than August 17.

CHANGE OF ADDRESS 
Notices of change of address from registered voters received by August 24 by a county board of elections must be processed and entered in the records in time for the State & Local Primary.
