Listen to inspiring music by 4 local performers

Award winning musicians to play at Briarcliff Congregational Church on October 25th at 4 pm

Briarcliff Congregational Church presents a concert by the four recipients of the church’s music scholarship award. The recipients are Jade Jang, a 12-year-old pianist of Hartsdale who was a prize winner of a competition locally, and Priscilla Zhang, 11-year-old pianist of Armonk who was a piano competition winner in SF bay area. Gabriela Gonzalez, a bassoonist in the Master’s program at SUNY Purchase is the winner of the 2015 Concerto Competition at SUNY Purchase and will be performing as soloist with the Purchase Orchestra in the fall. Gustavo Briceño, Venezuelan violinist, also in the Master’s Performance program at SUNY Purchase has played with Simon Bolivar and Miami Symphony, and in 2014, he performed in the String Quartet Festival 2014 in Esterhazy Palace (Austria). The scholarship is established to assist in the music education of talented musicians who need financial aid. The selection process is through a live audition and interview. The concert will be held on Sunday, October 25, at 4PM in the sanctuary of the church at 30 South State Road, Briarcliff Manor. The concert is free to the public, donation is welcome and will benefit the scholarship fund.
