EVENTS AT THE MARKET ON ON MAY 27

New Season Of Programming Begins Soon

May 27 the Market kicks off a new season of exciting programs at the Market, including the Pleasantville Farmers Market Music Series, Kids Events, Health & Sustainability and Culinary programs.

Here are the events on May 27:

Nutritionist Marina Stopler MS, RD, IBCLC, of Lehman College, will host the first of her summer-long informational series Nutrition Bits & Bites. Her opening theme will be simply "Let's Shop!". What do the farmers have for you on May 27? Stop by to speak with Marina, pick up seasonal recipes for your Memorial Day weekend and then shop for ingredients as you stroll through the Market. (8:30am - 12:30pm).

Opening a new season of the Pleasantville Farmers Market Music Series, we welcome The Bottoms Up Dixieland Jazz Band (10:00am - 12:00pm). This fun group brings to life the energetic romps of 1920s New Orleans, a la Louis Armstrong and Kid Ory. Featuring some fun modern twists, this band will have people singing, clapping, and dancing in the Market aisles.

We have a great opening act to kick off another season of Market Sprouts programs for kids: the return of Marco the Magician! Marco Frezza's acclaimed magic show confounds the senses of adults and children. With too much blow-your-mind magic for just one show, Marco has offered to perform at 9:30am and again at 11:00am. Please bring the whole family, all your friends, even distant cousins to help us build a great crowd for Marco. He'll leave them all guessing. (Note: In addition to offering performances for children, Marco Frezza is an instructor of magic. If your kids are interested in learning magic speak with Marco for more information.
