We're sending this extra newsletter message to confirm that YES the Pleasantville Farmers Market is open tomorrow, and also to encourage those who're able, to come out to support the farmers, bakers, fishermen, and food artisans that have been able to get in.
Our school district custodial staff has worked throughout the day to clear the lot and walkways. Many of our farmers (and food artisans) have endeavored despite the challenging conditions to harvest, pack and transport their foods to market (not easy in sub-zero temps).
It would be heartwarming for them to see a reasonable crowd tomorrow, despite all. So this is a classic Winter Warrior call for all shoppers able to attend - doing so tomorrow will surely gain you gratitude from our vendors who will, yet a gain, have another reason to say Pleasantville and its Market represent a very special community.
