Market Season: Together We've Made Space For This!
Pleasantville Farmers Market is open Saturday, 8:30am – 1:00pm

Thank you for arriving throughout the spring to support our producers. And for adapting to the systems put in place to ensure shoppers can be safe and comfortable while shopping. Together we've successfully created a new way of using the space at Memorial Plaza, which has made it possible for us to again enjoy a growing season at the Pleasantville Farmers Market.
Throughout the Market each producer has news about items that have arrived with June, or are soon to do so. After last week's start, strawberries will be in greater abundance this Saturday. Sharper Harper (Harper Keehn Knife Sharpening) will again be in to collect knives for sharpening (please wrap and label them with your name, email address and telephone number). And a member of the Village of Pleasantville 2020 Census Complete Count Committee will be in to encourage residents to fill in the census. See you at the Market.
Masks Are Mandatory & Other Guidelines To Shop
Help the Market remain a safe and efficient place to gather food. Masks are required to be worn while in the Market. Please send only one member of the family to shop. If arriving as a couple, bring enough reusable bags so you can splitting up shopping tasks. Do not use the Market at this time as a family outing as we must limit the number of people in the marketplace, and shopping is meant to be brief and purposeful. For more information about COVID-19 protocols for shoppers please visit our website's homepage. Your adherence to these shopping guidelines assists us in keeping the Market open to support residents and vendors alike.

Absolutely avoid the Market if you are sick. Especially so if you exhibit any symptoms of the COVID-19 virus (temperature of 100° or above, a cough, a sore throat, shortness of breath). The New York State Department of Health has set up a hotline at (888) 364-3065 where Department of Health experts are available to answer questions regarding COVID-19.
The Market appears on course to safely stay open. We no longer need to post an "open/closed" notice to our website's homepage on a weekly basis. However if conditions create a need for a gap in service we will provide that update to the homepage and use this newsletter to further get the word out.

Visiting Saturday:
The Village of Pleasantville 2020 Census Complete Count Committee
What comes of responding to the census? Well, besides feeling you've done your civic duty, doing so also affects the amount of funding your community receives, how your community plans for the future, and your representation in government. Specifically, census data affects funding for schools, hospitals, and fire departments, planning decisions for new homes and businesses, and the determination of how many seats your state is allocated in the House of Representatives. Saturday a member of the Village's 2020 Census Complete Count Committee will be tabling to answer any questions shoppers may have about the census. To fill out your census, click here. Phelps Health Tip:
Lead Sponsor Phelps Hospital Northwell Health shares the following: "Want to add more nutrients to your meals? Add fruit and herbs to your salads. Try strawberries or apples to add zest to your greens. Tuna and chicken salads also taste great with pieces or slices of apples. Don't forget to add some herbs such as dill for an additional nutritional boost".
PREORDER LISTING
We've created a pdf, updated weekly, listing all vendors offering the option to preorder items. Rotation Vendors offering preordering are listed with the weeks they're present (please only preorder on weeks they are in). For some vendors who are absent but still producing, you can receive items by mail or by picking those up at the vendor's location. To review preordering click:
