Pleasantville Memorial Day 2022: Memorial Plaza

Remember the parking restrictions!

PLEASANTVILLE, NY — Pleasantville will commemorate the sacrifices made by America's soldiers with its annual Memorial Day parade and ceremonies after a year off during the COVID-19 pandemic.

The village and the Fancher Nicoll American Legion Post will host the event on May 30.

Line-up begins on Academy Street at 9:45 a.m. with a short ceremony at 10 a.m. The World War 1 Monument is at the corner of Academy Street and Bedford Road.

The parade then proceeds down Bedford Road, culminating with a ceremony in Memorial Plaza. The War Monuments are at the north end.

Village officials ask everyone to remember that there will be no parking in the north end of Memorial Plaza, either on the lot or metered parking side, from 5 a.m. to noon.
