Memorial Service is Oct. 4 for Theresa Kreinen

Mrs. Kreinen was 58.

Theresa Ann Kreinen passed away in the morning of September 19, 2014. She was born Theresa Ann Davis on March 30, 1956 in White Plains, NY to her father, the late Raymond L. Davis Sr. and mother Eleanor Davis. Theresa is survived by her husband of 31 years, Benjamin Kreinen. They have been residing in Stony Point, NY and Joppa, MD. Theresa is also survived by her mother Eleanor Davis of North Carolina, her sister Susan Tucker (husband Greg) of Nevada, her brother Michael H. Davis (wife Bernadette) of New Jersey and her brother Raymond L. Davis Jr. (wife Laurie) of North Carolina. She was a loving aunt to Eileen Tucker, Lauren and Addison Zaricki, Stephen and Erin Davis. She was a truly dedicated sister-in-law to the entire Kreinen family.

Theresa grew up in Pleasantville, NY and attended grade schools and church there. She graduated from Pleasantville High School in 1974. She then attended Marymount College in Tarrytown, NY and graduated with a BA in Nutrition. She started her lifelong career working in the creative food industry by taking a job with Abigail Kirsch Catering in Chappaqua, NY. This is also where she met Benjamin. Later she moved on to the corporate world working in the test kitchens of Best Foods, Inc. (CPC International) for 10 years and subsequently as a manager in Kraft Foods Test Kitchens for 13 years. She then took a 2 year position with Brill-CSM Bakery Products followed by 8 years of heading up the test kitchens for McCormick Spice Company and additionally doing consulting work for Sodexo, Inc. Theresa has been a big part of thousands of recipes in the corporate food industry. Many of these top consumer recipes have been seen in magazines, on product packages or on websites over her 30 plus years in her profession. She independently created a couple of cooking recipe pamphlets for other food companies such as Seagram and Purdue. As well Theresa was co-owner and a major force in daily operations of Northway Transport, Inc. limousine services of Stony Point, NY for 30 years.

She leaves us far too soon and leaves an enormous void!

A Memorial Mass to celebrate Theresa’s life will be held at the church that she called her own for so many of her early years. It will be held 10 a.m. Oct. 4th at Holy Innocents Church 431 Bedford Rd. Pleasantville, NY 10570. Please share our blessings at that time.
