Mount Pleasant Keeps Elected Highway Superintendent

Briarcliff and Pleasantville residents who live in Mount Pleasant also chose whether highway superintendents should be elected or appointed.

MOUNT PLEASANT, NY — Residents of Briarcliff Manor and Pleasantville who live in the town of Mount Pleasant had a chance to go to the polls Tuesday. They picked a new face for Mount Pleasant Council. Plus they decided to keep the highway superintendent an elected position.

Incumbent Francesca Hagadus-McHale sought re-election. Also running were Laura Divenere, Jerome S. Schulman Jr., and Danielle Zaino.

Mount Pleasant Town Justice Robert Ponzini had a challenger: Elizabeth Smith.

The Westchester County Board of Elections must count absentee and affidavit ballots before final election results are certified.
