Mount Pleasant Schedules Water Main Repairs For Saturday
Water pressure and discolored water may be a temporary problem for Hawthorne residents.
MOUNT PLEASANT, NY — The Mount Pleasant Water & Sewer Department staff will complete a water main repair on Cliff Street at Commerce Street on Saturday.
The work will significantly affect water pressure and will dislodge impurities within the distribution system that will produce discolored water, officials said.
The work will take place between 8 a.m. and 1 p.m.

Customers in the Hawthorne hamlet of the Kensico Water District are advised to avoid using the water due to the reduced water pressure and potential turbid conditions and to permit the repair to be completed and the system flushed.
