Mt Pleasant Closes Community Centers, Branch Library For Cleaning

The step is a precautionary measure given the Westchester outbreak of the new coronavirus, town officials said.

MOUNT PLEASANT, NY — As a precautionary measure, the Town of Mount Pleasant will be closing three locations for thorough deep-cleanings.

  • Town of Mount Pleasant's Community Center and Branch Library located at 125 Lozza Drive, Valhalla - Closed Tuesday, March 10, 2020 from 7:30am -3:30pm.
  • Bradhurst Community Center located at 63 Bradhurst Avenue, Hawthorne - Closed Wednesday, March 11, 2020

Town Hall and other offices will be cleaned after hours.

As far as we know at this time, no employees have been exposed to the new coronavirus, town officials said.

They said they are closely following reports and information provided on what is officially known as COVID-19.

"We encourage residents to follow the recommendations of the Westchester County Department of Health and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (links below) to reduce their risks and to help prevent the spread of this virus," town officials said.
