Its never fun getting a flat tire, and it certainly is less fun when you get a flat tire on a busy road where you can't even get out of the car to change your tire in fear of getting run over. Last Friday this happened to me on 9A north bound just south of the Pleasantville Rd. Exit. I called the Briarcliff Manor Police department asking for assistance in blocking traffic so I could replace the tire with a donut and make my way over to Corsi Tire in Ossining. Never before was I so happy to see a police car pull up behind my car with its lights on. I was incredibly impressed with the quick response from Officer Wollman. He blocked traffic and helped me turn my bad situation into a much better situation. Thank you Officer Wollman. You are my local hero!!
