PLEASANTVILLE, NY — Neighbors are raising money to help Paige and Joe Pyzynski, victims of an overnight house fire that killed their dog.

"In the early morning hours of February 9th, a space heater exploded," said GoFundMe campaign coordinator Jennifer Gorsuch. While the daughter and father escaped, they lost their dog and all their possessions, she said. "Let us show them some love and support by contributing to help them recover from this awful trauma."

So far the campaign has raised $12,025 of its $15,000 goal. The money will go to replacing essentials and to medical expenses for the elder Pyzynski.
