Overnight Lane Closures on the Sprain Brook Parkway May 11-14

Motorists are advised that overnight lane closures are planned for both northbound and southbound sides of the Sprain Brook Parkway between the hours of 8 p.m. and 7 a.m. Monday to Thursday, so crews may perform construction activities, weather permitting.

Closures are expected between the Saw Mill River Parkway and Hospital Road.

Both northbound and southbound portions are expected to have double lane closures with one lane open in each direction. Brief traffic stoppages are also expected.

Drivers are encouraged to seek alternate routes to avoid delays.

Motorists are reminded to drive carefully through the many highway and bridge construction zones they will encounter this season.

Motorists are reminded that fines are doubled for speeding in a work zone. In accordance with the Work Zone Safety Act of 2005, convictions of two or more speeding violations in a work zone could result in the suspension of an individual’s driver license.
