Overnight Work on the Sprain Next Week Will Close Some Lanes in Mount Pleasant
Work should be done by 5AM on the southbound side and 7AM on the northbound side.

Motorists are advised that nighttime and morning lane closures are planned for both the northbound and southbound sides of the Sprain Brook Parkway in Mount Pleasant, beginning Tuesday, June 23, through Thursday, June 25, so crews may perform construction activities, weather permitting.
Single and double-lane closures are expected on the northbound side of the Sprain Brook Parkway between the exit for Route 100 North (Hospital Road) and the Taconic State Parkway between the hours of 8 p.m. and 7 a.m.
Double-lane closures are planned for the southbound side of the Sprain Brook Parkway between the Taconic State Parkway and the exit for Route 100c between the hours of 8 p.m. and 5 a.m.

Brief traffic stoppages are likely during the closures and motorists are may experience delays and should consider alternate routes.
Drivers are asked to use caution when traveling through the work area and pay particular attention to all traffic control devices, including work zone signs and flaggers.

Motorists are reminded that fines are doubled for speeding in a work zone. In accordance with the Work Zone Safety Act of 2005, convictions of two or more speeding violations in a work zone could result in the suspension of an individual’s driver license.
