Pace to Celebrate Grand Opening of Ianniello Field House

New athletic facility named After Pace alumnus and Trustee Joseph Ianniello

PLEASANTVILLE, NY - Pace University officials, students, alums and friends will celebrate on Saturday the grand opening of the new Ianniello Field House, a new state-of-the-art athletic facility.

It is named after Pace alumnus and Trustee Joseph Ianniello. Ianniello, Chief Operating Officer of CBS Corporation, who contributed $2 million for the construction of the new building. Ianniello is a former member of the Pace football team and a graduate of Pace’s Lubin School of Business.

"Our athletic teams and the entire Pace community are thankful for the generous support of the Ianniello family," said Mark Brown, Director of Athletics at Pace. "The Ianniello Field House will allow us to provide a first class experience for our students and allow us to recruit top notch students to our campus."​

The 14,010-square-foot field house features a strength and conditioning center for student-athletes, locker rooms for the women’s soccer and women’s lacrosse teams, a football locker room, athletic training room, a sports medicine component, coaches’ offices, equipment room and VIP room, officials said.

The field house is one of the most heavily-trafficked buildings on campus, with 25,000 expected visitors per year. Spectators and visitors will travel through the field house to enter the outdoor athletic complex, and all of Pace athletes and coaches will use the facility for practice, conditioning, and gatherings, officials said.

Pace is an NCAA Division II member of the Northeast-10 Conference and the Eastern College Athletic Conference that sponsors 14 intercollegiate sports. Pace also sponsors a Spirit Squad which includes Dance and Cheerleading teams.
