Parking, Density, Assisted Living, Building Height: Issues for Pleasantville's Master Plan

The village's consultants have drafted a new comprehensive master plan: news report.

PLEASANTVILLE, NY — The consultants hired to help Pleasantville revise and update its master plan have brought recommendations back to help the village weather the new economic environment, The Examiner News reports.

BFJ Planning of New York suggests that 4-story buildings be allowed in some parts of downtown; that residential land-area requirements be reduced to be more in line with other Westchester communities; and that the parking requirements for residential housing downtown be revised, the paper said. The consultants also recommended that assisted living housing for senior citizens be a permitted use downtown.

A public hearing on the proposals will be scheduled for September. Read the entire article on theexaminernews.com.
