VENDOR HIGHLIGHTS
Whitecliff Vineyards will feature a 10% off discount on their off-dry Riesling, and will bring a tasty red blend, Table Rock Red, that is new to the Pleasantville Farmers Market.
Making The Raconteur's Market Frittata? You can get pastured eggs from SOVA Farm, Woven Stars Farm, or Wright's Farm. You'll need Edgwick Farm's chevre and some summer veggies too.
Puras Paletas are back this week!
Mead Orchards now has yellow peaches (in addition to sweet blueberries, cherries and baby squash).
Spirits Lab makes their visit for July this Saturday with their exciting line of distilled items and premixed cocktails.
Dobler Farms and Gajeski Produce have plenty of summer corn now
Woven Stars Farm is highlighting a restock of all their beef items, especially beef ribeyes. They've also discounted pork chops to $16/lb (reg. $14) -- great for summer outdoor grilling, they pair nicely with Spice Revolution’s Calypso, Tiger Spice or Garlic Pepper spice rubs.
Wright's Farm notes they have both Queen Anne (blush) and sweet red cherries, as well as red raspberries, string beans and crisp cucumbers.
Conant Valley Jams notes they'll have a new Cherry & Merlot Jam -- which makes a great sauce for meats and poultry, is delicious over yogurt, and of course is great on your breakfast toast.
Nobles Pies is in Saturday and they say, "Blueberry is one of our staple fruit flavors year-round. The perfect pie to eat when you're feeling blue, guaranteed to make any day better! Always made with flavorful wild blueberries, we dedicate this pie to Seymour Gordon who helped preserve farms across the Hudson Valley".
Melissa's Health Hub is in, and they have yet another flavor, Restart & Refresh, made with apple, celery, lemon and ginger.
SOVA Farm has fresh USDA Organic, pastured chicken and eggs for your menu. In eggs they have multiple sizes including King size -- which often have double yokes (children like watching them cracked open to see two orange yolk "eyes" looking back at them from the frying pan). King size eggs are $10/dozen ($6 for 1/2 doz.) this week. SOVA is proud to note their eggs are now ranked 5th in the US by the Cornucopia Institute!
Nina White of Bobolink Dairy & Bakehouse says, "This week is a good one to enjoy Amram, Baudolino, Drumm cheeses with seasonal fruits, a Medieval baguette, heirloom Fife baguette, or a ciabatta".
