PHOTOS: Rocnroe's Pop Shop to Close

After seven years of serving the Pleasantville community,  will be shutting down for good.

Employee Shannon Muscara, whose father owns the shop, said "the economy" and competing shops opening up nearby contributed to the decision.

Rocnroe's serves candy, ice cream, frozen yogurt and other treats—and will continue to do so for the next eight days at discounts, including two for one ice cream cones. The shop's front window on Wheeler Avenue has a countdown of the store's remaining days.

Virtually everything in Rocnore's—including shelves, decorations and machines—are up for sale before the closing.

"It's time to move on," Muscara said.
