Pleasantville, Briarcliff High Schools Rank Near Top Statewide

Niche.com, a rankings and review site, has compiled its list of “2016 Best Public High Schools in New York.”

These rankings are based on state test scores, college readiness, graduation rates, SAT/ACT scores, teacher quality, student and parent reviews, and more.

Niche.com compiled a nationwide list of all high schools with 11 New York schools in the top 50, including No. 19 Rye High School, No. 40 Chappaqua’s Horace Greeley High School, No. 46 Scarsdale High School and No. 50 Blind Brook High School in Rye Brook.

According to Niche.com, the top 5 public high schools are: No. 1. Stuyvesant High School in Manhattan, N.Y., No. 2 High Technology High School in Lincroft, N.J., No. 3. Staten Island Technical High School in Staten Island, N.Y., No. 4. Thomas Jefferson High School for Science and Technology in Virginia, and No. 5 Adlai E. Stevenson High School in Illinois.

Briarcliff High School was ranked No. 37 in the state and No. 184 in the nation. Pleasantville High School came in at 140th in the state and 1,124th in the United States. Click on each school’s name to see the full ranking data.
