Pleasantville Court: Two DWI Cases Conclude; Burglary Defendant Doesn't Appear

DWI Case Wraps Up
Glenn McCallen, 41, and charged with DWI, among other charges.

On Tuesday, McCallen's attorney shared his treatment reports with the court and stated his client was prepared to pay $4,171 in restitution for damage he allegedly caused prior to his arrest.
McCallen then pled guilty to the reduced charge of DWAI, a violation, as well as leaving the scene of a crime and running a red light. He also pled guilty to disorderly conduct, a violation reduced from the initial charge of resisting arrest.

He was sentenced to a one-year conditional discharge, which specifies he must attend a Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD) and other drunkd driving program. Curley granted a 20-day stay, after which McCallen's license will be suspended for 90 days.
He was additionally sentenced to $810 in fines and surcharges.
Contempt Case Adjourned
Daniel Scott, 26, is charged with Criminal Contempt in the First Degree.
The Pleasantville resident was arrested on August 2.
On Tuesday, Scott was not present and his attorney stated he is currently in a rehabilitation program. He requested a one-month adjournment.
Assistant District Attorney Nicholas DiCostanza asked for a bench warrant.
Village Justice John Curley consented to an adjournment until October 18, but stated he will seek a rehab update on that date.
Larceny Defendant Remains Incarcerated
Frederick Nelson, 58, was arrested on a warrant on Aug. 22 and charged with Grand Larceny.
The Bronx man remains incarcerated.
On Tuesday, DiCostanza said he had provided defense counsel with surveillance camera footage from the alleged incident.
The case was then adjourned until October 4.
DWI Defendant Denied Hardship Application
Sookja Lee, 60, of White Plains, was arrested on August 24 and charged with DWI, a first offense, as well as a vehicle and traffic violation.
On Tuesday, Curley denied Lee's request for a hardship hearing, as she works in Pleasantville and he stated there is "plenty of trains from White Plains to Pleasantville."
Her license was suspended and DiCostanza said he would offer the defendant the opportunity to plead guilty to the reduced charge of DWAI if she returned with a positive Treatment Alternatives for Safer Communities (TASC) report.
The case was adjourned until October 18.
Mugging Defendant Offered SCI Hearing
Patrick Hopkins-Drago, of Pleasantville, is charged with Robbery, Assault and Criminal Possession of Stolen Property as a result of a , in which he allegedly mugged a youth.
Yesterday, DiCostanza offered an SCI felony hearing and Hopkins-Drago's attorney requested an adjournment until October 18 to discuss the offer with his client.
Disposition in DWI House vs. Car Case
Megan Ward, 28, was arrested on the morning of May 23 and charged with DWI her red Mustand into a Pleasantville Road home and nearby utility pole.
The Briarcliff Manor resident pled guilty on Tuesday to the reduced charge of DWAI and paid $5,211.02 in restitution to the owner of the affected Pleasantville Road home.
She was sentenced to a one-year conditional discharge, granted a 20-day stay prior to 90 days of license suspension and paid $560 in fines and surcharges.
Ward is required to attend MADD and DDP programs as part of the conditional discharge.
She additionally paid $560 in fines and surcharges.
"Be careful next time," Curley warned her.
7-Eleven Employee Pleads to Violation
Tymon Brown, 23, pled guilty yesterday to one count of Disorderly Conduct, a violation.
He was initially charged with Unlawful Dealing with a Child after allegedly selling tobacco to minors while working at .
He was arrested on July 14.
Brown paid $225 in fines and surcharges on Tuesday and was sentenced to a one-year conditional discharge.
Abraham Pays Restitution, Pleads to Violation
Henry Abraham, 51, was arrested on May 27 after a Lincoln Avenue property owner to his former apartment.
The Millwood resident allegedly admitted to the crime and was arrested and subsequently charged with Criminal Mischief in the Fourth Degree.
On August 9, Abraham of Disorderly Conduct and requested a trial through his attorney, which was scheduled for yesterday.
However, on Tuesday, Abraham accepted the Disorderly Conduct offer and was sentenced to a one-year conditional discharge. He also paid $417 in restitution to his former landlord through his attorney.
Abraham was also banned from the Lincoln Avenue building where the crime occurred.
Burglary Cases Adjourned
Heather Hoy, 25, of Pleasantville, remains incarcerated after she was and charged with Burglary in the Second Degree and Criminal Possession of Stolen Property in the Fourth Degree .
Jesse Turner, 18, of Stormville, was also arrested with Hoy and charged with Burglary in the Second Degree.
Hoy's bail is set at $1,000.
The pair allegedly stole a laptop from a Bedford Road apartment. A temporary order of protection was previously issued in favor of the complainant.
On Tuesday, Turner did not appear and DiCostanza requested a bench warrant.
Curley instead issued a warrant letter and both cases were adjourned until October 4.
