Pleasantville Farmers Market: Winter Ready!

Place preorders from our vendors Tues, 7:00pm – Thurs, 7:00pm. Then walk up Saturday, 9:00am - 11:30pm, to gather preorders and shop further

The producers at the Pleasantville Farmers Market are ready for you with winter-grown produce, cellared root veggies, fresh baked items, just caught seafood, excellent prepared items to add interest to your meals, a wide range of frozen meats, and much more. As the largest weekly, year-round, fully inspected farmers market in the region -- and the only one offering all products for online preorder with a single, convenient click to pay -- winter is no big deal, and certainly not an impediment to staying connected to the vendors and foods you love!

PFM-O: BRISK SERVICE FOR ANY WEATHER

Preorder to get in and out quickly!
Saturday's weather may turn out to be cool and damp. Our winter market, and Pleasantville Farmers Market Online (PFM-O), are designed to ease winter shopping outdoors - whatever the weather. Many vendors do make a selection of their items available for walk up service, but if you preorder you'll get in and out quickly, and ensure you get what you're seeking. So PFM-O benefits include:

  • Get what you want! Don’t worry about items selling out! Keep your gloves on!
  • Quick and easy pickup. No standing on long lines.
  • Pay in advance with one click, no matter how many vendors you preorder from.
  • Prices are the same online as in the Market.

Some other key details for the winter market season:

  • What about parking, which now costs money? The Village implemented paid parking in Memorial Plaza to address turnover and make all downtown lots the same price. However, there are 6 free lots within a short walk, and we encourage their use to save money and reduce congestion. Get to know the alternate lots with this convenient map.
  • Winter season hours are now in effect: 9:00 - 11:30am
  • Preordering hours remain the same: 7:00pm Tuesday to 7:00pm Thursday
  • The Market is closed 12/24, but open 12/31
  • In the event of a weather-related closure (ie ongoing snow on a Saturday) we send out a special Friday newsletter announcing that closure and the cancellation any preorders.

Lead Sponsor Phelps Hospital Northwell Health shares the following: "During the cold days of winter you should consider eating more carbohydrates like those from root vegetables – they help the body to sustain a little more weight, which is needed to insulate against the cold weather. Warming vegetables like potatoes, cabbages, carrots, onions, rutabagas, and winter squash all store well in cool, dark places, and can provide energy and comfort throughout the winter season".

First visit for NEW Bohemian Baked!

Market Bucks:
Any Market Bucks you have from our spring/summer/fall season can be used throughout the winter with any vendor. We do pause providing new Market Bucks until April when our Manager's Tent returns. Note: vendors take credit cards for purchases and accept cash of course -- easiest of all, avoid payment at the Market by preordering.

The Pleasantville Farmers Market welcomes shoppers using SNAP EBT. To use SNAP benefits during winter locate the Market Manager who will help you redeem your benefits as tokens. THANKS to a generous grant from Market Sponsor The Pleasantville Lions Club, you'll receive 40% more value as "Bonus Bucks", enhancing your ability to purchase nutritious, farm fresh foods for you and your family.
