Pleasantville FD Band Holds Annual Children's Concert

The played host to the annual children's concert performed by members of the Concert Band Sunday afternoon.

Playing in conjunction with the Amadeus Conservatory of Music in Chappaqua, about 20 members playing many different instruments struck up not only their usual marching tunes, but many movie themes and American classics made more familiar to children by their use in cartoons as well.

Conductor Stan Greenberg kept the audience involved giving them cues when to clap along, and when not to, and had the children in the crowd march throughout the room during one number. Several conservatory students added to the performance playing solos for the crowd.
