Pleasantville Firm Only Marine Insurance Broker at National Maritime Conference
The Westchester County maritime insurance brokerage invited to prestigious national conference on maritime claims and litigation.

Bob Furjanic, president of Four Anchors Worldwide, LLC, a marine insurance brokerage firm in Pleasantville, was the only representative of the marine brokerage industry to speak at the American Conference Institute’s 4th Annual Forum on Admiralty & Maritime Claims and Litigation held in Houston, Tx., Feb 4-5.
The conference brought together high-level legal and insurance professionals from close to 30 private firms and federal government departments to discuss complex issues surrounding admiralty and maritime litigation.
They included representatives of the U.S. Dept. of Justice, the U.S. Coast Guard, the U.S. Maritime Administration, AIG, Chevron, Swiss Re America Holding Corporation and Tulane University Law School, to name a few.

Mr. Furjanic, who has over 30 years of experience in the maritime brokerage business, spoke about new developments in marine insurance claims, including mid-ocean forensic weather analysis and claim procedures/presentations for reporting and handling.
Mr. Furjanic also participated on a panel covering such topics as the obligation of good faith, reservation of rights issues, new developments in surveying, general average adjusting and loss control engineering and causations giving rise to “bad faith” allegations.
