Pleasantville Firm Receives North Dakota Business Award

Four Anchors Worldwide, LLC, a marine insurance brokerage firm based in Pleasantville, has been awarded the 2014 Service to Exporters Award from the North Dakota Trade Office for its exemplary work in acting as a resource to North Dakota exporters.

The Westchester County marine insurance broker specializes in placing and servicing cargo insurance on agricultural commodities and equipment.

Four Anchors was the only company outside of North Dakota to receive such an award last month.

North Dakota-based Superior Manufacturing of Kindred and Hoffman Angus Farms of Wheatland also received awards for Exporter of the Year and Global Ambassador, respectively.

“North Dakota companies are working tirelessly to promote North Dakota products globally, and it’s important that we recognize those efforts,” said Lt. Gov. Drew Wrigley, chairman of the NDTO Board of Directors.

“Companies such as Superior Manufacturing, Four Anchors Worldwide and Hoffman Angus Farms serve as examples of hard work paying off; impressive businesses that support North Dakota job growth and contribute to the diversification of our economy,” he added.

Bob Furjanic, president of Four Anchors Worldwide, has worked with the NDTO for the past four years, promoting awareness of cargo insurance, facilitating claims resolutions and using technological innovations to resolve them, as well as highlighting the importance of international trade.

“We are proud to serve as a knowledgeable resource for NDTO members and assist North Dakota businesses with the protection of their assets during transit,” said Mr. Furjanic, upon receiving the award.

Four Anchors Worldwide provides numerous resources to NDTO members and to the North Dakota business community, including access to engineers, chemists, entomologists, meteorologists and university professors who are experts in their respective fields.
