Pleasantville Hearing, Vote Expected On CBD Building Moratorium

PLEASANTVILLE, NY — As the new year begins, our local officials are busy conducting the public's business in plain sight. There are plenty of upcoming chances to help tend to our democracy close to the roots.

Two public hearings are scheduled for this week before the Pleasantville village board. The Briarcliff village board meeting scheduled for Tuesday has been canceled.

Monday: Pleasantville Village Board of Trustees, 6 p.m. work session, 7 p.m. legislative meeting. Village Hall. Among the agenda items:

• Public Hearing concerning Introductory Local Law 12 of 2022 to enact a moratorium on development in the Central Business A-1 District including the Central Business A-1 Subarea
• Public Hearing on Introductory Local Law 1 of 2023 concerning parking on Washington Avenue and Hildreth Place
• Res. No. 2023-10 Consider adopting Introductory Local Law 12 of 2022 proposing to enact a moratorium for the Central Business A-1 District
• Res. No. 2023-11 Consider adopting Introductory Local Law 1 of 2023 concerning parking on Washington Avenue and Hildreth Place
• Res. No. 2023-15 Consider authorizing the issuance of not to exceed $5,000,000 Serial Bonds to finance the construction and equipping of a swimming pool
