Pleasantville Pool To Re-Open
Heavy rain May 27 caused a electrical problem in the pool's pump house.
PLEASANTVILLE, NY — It was the pandemic that kept Pleasantville's pool closed in 2020. In 2021 village officials and residents decided to build a new one — with construction scheduled to start in September.
Meanwhile, the old pool keeps having trouble, closed for two weekends at the beginning of the season.
Heavy rain May 27 caused a electrical problem in the pool's pump house, and the pool was closed over the Memorial Day weekend and the following weekend.

It will open for its regularly scheduled hours starting Saturday. Check here for the 2022 Pleasantville Pool Hours.
The goal is to open the new pool in June 2023. It's an aggressive schedule that could be extended "by weather conditions and availability of materials and equipment," officials said on the project page on the village website.
