Pleasantville Rec Department to Host Kindergarten Social Event

The Pleasantville Recreation Department will host a Kindergarten Meet & Greet on Sept. 7.

That's the first day of school for first- through 12th-graders in the Pleasantville school district, but it's orientation only for kindergarteners — they start on Sept. 8.

Kindergarten Orientation is at 9 & 10 a.m. at Bedford Road School.

So the Rec has organized an event for that afternoon. From 1-2 p.m., they're offering some fun sports activities on Parkway Field, with refreshments at the Recreation Center.

"Meet your new Kindergarten classmates," Rec officials said.

The fee is $10. There's no online signup for this, so you have to go in person to 48 Marble Ave. (You could certainly call them at 769-7950 for more information.)
