Here are the results. BREAKING

PLEASANTVILLE, NY — Pleasantville school district residents approved a 2019-20 school budget on Tuesday.

The $51.1 million proposed budget was approved by 729 yes votes to 169 no votes. The budget is a 2.88% spending increase over the current year and it comes with a 2.34% hike in the school tax levy. That is within the state's tax cap for the district so the budget only needed to be approved by a majority vote.

Also on the ballot: Voters authorized the district to bond up to $8,900,000 for projects including upgrades to security, electrical units, lighting, window replacement, resurface athletic spaces and parking lot, repairs to roofs and cupola, asbestos abatement, Bedford Road School library renovations, and upgrades to the middle school occupational and physical therapy rooms. The vote was 708 yes to 189 no.
