Pleasantville Voters OK School Board's 2023-24 Budget Plan

Residents went to the polls Tuesday.

PLEASANTVILLE, NY — Pleasantville voters went to the polls Tuesday and overwhelmingly approved a $59.3 million budget for 2023-24 with a 2.43 percent increase in the property tax levy.

The vote was 513 votes in favor and 76 opposed.

Lucas Cascardo and John Vamossy were unopposed for the Board of Education. The vote results were 486 for Cascardo and 477 for Vamossy.

"I want to thank the community for its support of the Pleasantville Schools," School Superintendent Dr. Tina DeSa said in an announcement about the results on the website. "It is an honor to lead a district that cares so much about education. I also want to welcome Lucas Cascardo and John Vamossy to the Board of Education. I look forward to serving with you in the upcoming school year."
