Please Preorder by 7pm Thursday (tonight!)
Pleasantville Farmers Market is open Saturday, 9:00am - 11:30pm

Some shoppers have asked if one can arrive at the Market on 12/5 as a walk-up shopper without having preordered.
The answer is "yes", albeit with these caveats:
- Growers with apples and greens have chosen to be preorder-only to protect their inventory (which would freeze if displayed). Whatever you preorder they will deliver.
- Some items will be available for walk up purchases (ie: honey, jams, meats, baked goods) -- but knowing you'll get what you want is touch and go. Vendors are only required to offer their full options online in winter.
- If you preorder it is easier for vendors as they know what to bring to market, guaranteeing you get what you're seeking.
- Given the harsh conditions in winter the overriding goal is brevity of service (which preordering accomplishes). We're trying to help shoppers AND vendors get in and get out quickly on Saturdays. Therefore, walk up shoppers should be aware that preorder customers are served first as part of the goal to move as many shoppers through the marketplace within reduced hours.
This Saturday's weather is expected to be 41° and rainy. Not conditions for chewing the fat with neighbors and vendors at the Market! Those are exactly the conditions that our preorder system was designed to manage well. And to make things convenient we've reduced the pickup fee applied to your order total to $2.00 all winter.

Phelps Health Tip:
Lead Sponsor Phelps Hospital Northwell Health shares the following: "Bone-loving nutrients go beyond calcium. Bones need magnesium, vitamin B12, vitamin C, vitamin D and vitamin K. Get these nutrients from a variety of foods offered at the Market including cheeses, eggs, Brussels sprouts, arugula, mesclun, spinach, baby kale and "oily" fish."
It's a long winter
please support your market!
We're so grateful to shoppers that have reached us recently with support as $10 and $25 Friends, $50 Harvest Heroes and $100 Winter Warriors. The Market is committed to staying open and safe for all our shoppers and producers, but it hasn't been easy – and these donations have become critical. Contributions of $50 and up come with amazing Market swag and no PFM-O pickup fees through March! If you wish to make a donation you can use this link, or donate through PFM-O when it is open - and THANKS in advance for your support - your collaboration helps make the outdoor Winter Market possible. Know before you go:
Masks Are Mandatory & Other Guidelines
Help the Market remain a safe and efficient place to gather food. Masks are required to be worn while at the Market. Please send only one member of the family to shop. If arriving as a couple, bring enough reusable bags so you can splitting up shopping tasks. Do not use the Market at this time as a family outing as we must limit the number of people in the marketplace, and shopping is meant to be brief and purposeful. For more information about COVID-19 protocols for shoppers please click here. Your adherence to these shopping guidelines assists us in keeping the Market open to support residents and vendors alike.
Absolutely avoid the Market if you are sick. Especially so if you exhibit any symptoms of the COVID-19 virus (temperature of 100° or above, a cough, a sore throat, shortness of breath). The New York State Department of Health has set up a hotline at (888) 364-3065 where Department of Health experts are available to answer questions regarding COVID-19.
