Community Corner

Preorder! It helps vendors & you skip lines at busiest vendors.

Pleasantville Farmers Market is open Saturday, 8:30am – 1:00pm

We're at the peak of summer with our farms bringing tomatoes, eggplants, squash, sunflowers, fresh potatoes, cabbage, carrots, greens, peaches, plums, corn and so much more.

To prepare for our highest level of shopper visitation and the slower no-touch methods needed to keep everyone safe, the Market set up Pleasantville Farmers Market Online (PFM-O).

Please explore this platform as a way to further support your producers. By preordering items you help vendor staff by reducing the length of their walk up lines because you skip the walk up line altogether by using the yellow Preorder Pick Up box. Our vendors are adding new products every week so their online offerings can be as enticing as those you see as a walk up shopper.

Two Ways To Shop

Here's the scoop on the colorful markings on the pavement at the Market (they support Pleasantville Farmers Market Online).

  • Items ordered on PFM-O are collected at vendor’s tents. Skip the morning rush as your items are reserved!
  • All participating vendors have a sign saying “Preorder From Me Online”.
  • In front of vendors that typically lack significant lines "Walk Up Service & Preorder Pick Up" is painted on the pavement. PFM-O shoppers wait briefly with other walk up shoppers to collect their items from these vendors.
  • Vendors having dedicated, sizeable walk up lines display a “Pick Up Preorders Here” sign above a yellow "Preorder Pick Up" box painted on the pavement - at these vendors you can skip the walk up line. Step in the box, then step away quickly after receiving your preorder.

Masks Are Mandatory & Other Guidelines
Help the Market remain a safe and efficient place to gather food. Masks are required to be worn while at the Market. Please send only one member of the family to shop. If arriving as a couple, bring enough reusable bags so you can splitting up shopping tasks. Do not use the Market at this time as a family outing as we must limit the number of people in the marketplace, and shopping is meant to be brief and purposeful. For more information about COVID-19 protocols for shoppers please click here. Your adherence to these shopping guidelines assists us in keeping the Market open to support residents and vendors alike.

Absolutely avoid the Market if you are sick. Especially so if you exhibit any symptoms of the COVID-19 virus (temperature of 100° or above, a cough, a sore throat, shortness of breath). The New York State Department of Health has set up a hotline at (888) 364-3065 where Department of Health experts are available to answer questions regarding COVID-19.

Pay The Meters On Saturday
This Saturday if you park at a meter, or in a lot with a pay station, please note that parking enforcement in the Village's downtown resumed on July 1.
