Preorder & Pickup!

Pleasantville Farmers Market is open Saturday, 8:30am – 1:00pm

Beginning on December 5 the Pleasantville Farmers Market will shift to a preorder & pick up model to safely provide for our shoppers and producers all winter long.

To get ready for the outdoor winter season (December - March) we encourage all shoppers try our online shopping platform, Pleasantville Farmers Market Online (PFM-O). Orders placed online ensure efficient pickup on Saturdays - which will allow us to run a shorter market day during those months (9:00-11:30am). And that lessens exposure to cold for you, our producers and their products.

Don't wait until December to try out PFM-O. Over 25 farmers and food artisans are already providing their products to Market shoppers online. And more producers join each week (Bobolink Dairy & Bakehouse, Hudson Valley Duck Farm and Dancing Spirits Herbs did so in the last two weeks). By December 5 all producers and all products will be available online. There are no minimums and a single $5 pickup fee applies to your total order, no matter how many vendors you order from.

Phelps Health Tip:
Lead Sponsor Phelps Hospital Northwell Health shares the following: "The benefits of antioxidants show up everywhere, but the synergy that occurs between the vitamins, minerals, fiber, phytochemicals, and antioxidants when we eat whole foods may best reduce the risk of some serious chronic conditions and cancers. Eat more whole plant foods and do so frequently".

How to pick up preordered items?

  • Items ordered on PFM-O are collected at vendor’s tents.
  • All participating vendors have a sign saying “Preorder From Me Online”.
  • In front of vendors that typically lack significant lines "Walk Up Service & Preorder Pick Up" is painted on the pavement. PFM-O shoppers wait briefly with other walk up shoppers to collect their items from these vendors.
  • Vendors having dedicated, sizeable walk up lines display a “Pick Up Preorders Here” sign above a yellow "Preorder Pick Up" box painted on the pavement - at these vendors you can skip the walk up line. Step in the box, then step away quickly after receiving your preorder.
