These are the traits that are developed over time through learning Taekwondo.

Wouldn’t the world be a better place if we all followed this path?
Repetition is one of the easiest and most widespread methods of teaching and persuasion. As we are exposed to a message again and again, it becomes more familiar...and what is familiar becomes true. The same goes for practicing any activity like Taekwondo...perfect practice makes perfect.
Powerful statements that anchor positive self images and combined with positive mental attitude result in positive behavioral changes.
So repeat after me….
The UMAC Student Creed
I will...develop myself in a positive manner and avoid anything that would reduce my mental growth or physical health.
I will...develop self-discipline in order to bring out the best in myself and others.
I will...use common sense before self-defense; I will never be abusive or offensive.
This is a Black Belt School. We are dedicated. We are motivated. We are on a quest to be the best.
Winners never quit. Quitters never win. I choose to win!
UMAC students learn and repeat our student creed. Students also participate in our UMAC Character Development Program which introduces and reinforce Martial Art values (Self-Control, Indomitable Spirit, Perseverance, Humility, and Courtesy) and empowers our students to use and relate these values to everyday experiences at home, in school, and at work. My mission is to teach all my students the power of positive attitude and to live a Black Belt life.
I can’t tell you how many parents have come up to me over the years to tell me how the Martial Arts have improved their child’s behavior, school work, focus, and self-confidence. This is what makes being a professional Martial Artist worthwhile.
Students are encouraged to make healthy, positive choices to improve and strengthen their mind and body. Students are asked about challenging events in their lives and how they overcame those challenges, developing a positive mental attitude by developing progressive action plans to reach their goals.
“Whether you think you can, or think you can’t, you're right.” ~ Henry Ford
This is the power of positive thinking. This is a benefit of knowing and practicing Taekwondo and integrating Martial Art values into your life. This is the essence of living a Black Belt life.
