UPDATE: Route 9A northbound was reopened around 4 p.m. after crews removed a downed tree from the highway.
MOUNT PLEASANT, NY — Northbound 9A is closed due to a downed tree.
The closure is south of NY 117. It started at 1:41 and could last two hours, state transportation officials said.
