Phelps Health Tip: The Benefits Of Beets
Lead Sponsor Phelps Hospital Northwell Health shares the following: "For added color, flavor and nutrition, top your next salad with sliced beets. Or try marinating steamed beets in fresh lemon juice, olive oil and fresh herbs. They're low in sodium and rich in several nutrients, including fiber, potassium and vitamin C. You can't beet that". Saturday you can find beets at Gajeski Produce and Neversink Farm.

Earth Day began in 1970 when more than 10,000 events engaged 20 million people across America. Keep the momentum going by including regional foods in your shopping list, and by speaking with Pleasantville Recycles to review all the Earth friendly resources and volunteer opportunities in your area.
