The Market is open RAIN or SHINE this Saturday. Our farmers and food artisans are ready to provide ingredients and prepared foods for your week of enjoyable autumn meals.
The forecast for this Saturday currently shows damp weather, which may affect our event schedule including the 10/14 Apple Pie Contest.

Lead Sponsor Northwell Health Tip:
"Kale is an excellent source of beta-carotene, vitamins C and K, as well as a healthy dose of calcium. Something many people don't know is that the leaves of vegetables are richest in nutrient content. The darker the leaves, the greater the vitamins and minerals. You can enjoy your kale many ways including raw, braised, sauteed, or in a soup". Brought to you by Northern Westchester and Phelps, your local Northwell hospitals.
Market Intern Program

VENDOR HIGHLIGHTS
Surprise! Edgwick Farm is bringing back ALL your favorite seasonal pairings from throughout the year -- for this week only! They saved up their ingredients for festival season and decided to offer them to our loyal market customers as well. Limited quantity -- stock up this week.
Bo DiBuono, of Manor Sangria encourages everyone to try their new fall seasonal blend, Pumpkin Spice. A refreshing take on this fall staple, Manor Sangria incorporates fresh pumpkin puree into wine, then blends in a fresh concoction of real, whole spices. Truly delicious!
Both our orchards, Mead Orchards and Wright's Farm, are picking fresh apples including Cortlands, Gala, Honeycrisp, Snap Dragon, Fuji, Zestar, and Macoun. Shop for these and other varieties at their booths.
Tree Juice Maple Syrup is making one of their four visits per year -- so check the pantry and plan to get some of the sweet stuff if your supply is low!
Wright's Farm has a very diverse selection of jams and preserves all made at their farm. Perfect on Market breads, or roasted on meats and poultry!
Little Seed Gardens (in addition to highlighting their ginger harvest!) is giving a shout out to fall squash. Shoppers can now expect to see fall favorites such as Butternut, Honeynut (smaller version of Butternut with a rich, sweet, nutty flavor), Autumn Frost (specialty Butternut, creamy and mild), Delicata (a Little Seed favorite, super sweet, caramelizes nicely when baked, great sauteed), and Acorn squash (more mild and savory than Butternuts).
Watch Bien Cuit in the fall as they introduce several seasonal pastries including Apple Cardamom Danish, Butternut Squash Harrisa Danish, and Red Miso Pan au Raisin.
Warwick Valley Winery & Distillery will make their visit for October this week!
It's soup season! Every week both Pika's Farm Table and Trotta's Food arrive with a diverse selection of soups. Stop by each so you know your options. They're ready to help you enjoy an easy night in the kitchen and a great meal.
Our farms have a really nice selection of flavorful herbs at this time of year. A good example: Kyle of Maple View Farm says this Saturday he'll have red and green shiso, sage, tarragon, sorrel, chives, lavender, rosemary, lemon balm, parsley, cilantro, and dill. Unsure how to use some of these options? Speak with Kyle and his team, they have great suggestions on how to use all their items.
Woven Stars Farm is highlighting their chicken bone broth, served by the cup in the Market or frozen in quarts to take home.
