Summer is in full swing at the Market now. Summer squash that was not in last month is available this week, as are lush green herbs, and gorgeous cut flowers. Stop by every week to avoid missing something, as seasonal treats like cherries and blueberries aren't forever. Also, the Market has three dairy farms which produce seasonal cheeses. Eaten as is, or integrated into recipes, these are some of the best dairy products one can find. Enjoy them with preserves, bread, fruits and wines from the Market to cheerfully acknowledge your place in this splendid season.
Visitors to the Market this Saturday can also enjoy a creative LEGO event with Marwan Shouery, a member of the LEGO group I LUG NY (9:30-11:00), and there's a music performance by singer-songwriter Joe Tobin of The Acoustic Medicine Band (10:00-12:00). See you at the Market!

Phelps Health Tip:
Artisanal Cheeses Can Be A Healthy Dietary Choice
Lead Sponsor Phelps Hospital Northwell Health shares the following: "Authentic artisanal cheeses aid digestion through the presence of enzymes and/or anti-viral MCTs (medium-chain triglycerides). They also contain less salt than processed cheeses, and none of the dyes, preservatives, stabilizers and other unnecessary ingredients found in more conventional cheese products".
VENDOR HIGHLIGHTS
Blueberries & Cherries
Check out Mead Orchards and Wright's Farm for fresh season fruits. Blueberries are at peak, as are cherries.
Say Cheese!
The Market has three dairy farms which produce cheeses, each with
ideal methods, admirable care for their herds, and super products:
Chaseholm Farm Creamery, Edgwick Farm and Bobolink Dairy &
Bakehouse. And Trotta Foods creates fresh mozzarella before the Market
each Saturday. Eaten as is, or integrated into recipes, these are some
of the best dairy products one can find. This Saturday try samples and
enjoy speaking with our producers to learn of new ways to use their
delicious cheeses.

Go-Go Season Is Here
Whether your kids crave a fruity, ice cold treat at the Market, or you do, Saturday's summer weather clearly makes the timing just right.
That's Right: First Corn Is In!
Brian Gajeski, of Gajeski Produce, has his first, early corn now. Once corn fever sets in shoppers become very enthusiastic, so even though Brian will have a larger amount of corn each week, we still suggest getting to his booth early.
Trotta Foods: Goat Cheese & Spring Pea Ravioli
Trotta Foods picked up soft Canterbury (fresh chevre) from Edgwick Farm and some with fresh green peas. They've used both to create their Goat Cheese & Spring Pea Ravioli for this Saturday's market.
