Saw Mill Parkway Bridge Rebuild in Spring, Summer 2016
Attention commuters from Brewster south: the SMRP will be closed overnight for 3 months in the spring, and be down to 1 lane this summer.
The New York State Department of Transportation plans to fully reconstruct two bridges on the Saw Mill River Parkway in Pleasantville -- starting in April.
The structures are located under historic arch bridges at Bedford Road and Pleasantville Road and over the Saw Mill River. The historic arch bridges will not be affected by the reconstruction, DOT officials said.
What will be affected: motorists on the busy commuter route between New York City and the northeastern Westchester-Brewster corridor.
