Saw Mill Parkway Starts Closing for Repaving

There will be a detour through November between Pleasantville and Chappaqua.

PLEASANTVILLE, NY — The northbound and southbound Saw Mill River Parkway between Exit 27 (Marble Avenue) and Exit 33 (Readers Digest Road/Roaring Brook Road) is expected to undergo overnight closures Sundays through Fridays. The closures will begin at 9 p.m. and end the next morning at 6 a.m. These closures are expected to begin Sunday, and end Dec. 1.

Crews will be repaving.

Closures are not expected to occur on Saturday evenings or during the Thanksgiving Holiday weekend.

Motorists are advised to use the posted detour, and anticipate delays.

Use caution when traveling through the work zone area and pay particular attention to flaggers and all traffic control devices, including signs.

Remember, fines are doubled for speeding in a work zone. In accordance with the Work Zone Safety Act of 2005, convictions of two or more speeding violations in a work zone could result in the suspension of an individual’s driver license.
