Signs of Spring Emerge at Flour and Sun

Locals learn how to make festive, delicious treats.

Westchester's first and only cupcake bakery, in Pleasantville, hosted a Spring Cupcake Decorating Class for teens and adults tuesday evening. Eight eager students gathered around the small shop's counter and learned from baker/decorator Kim Ambrose how to decorate a half-dozen spring-themed cupcakes.  They used colorful M&M's to make ladybugs and caterpillars and yellow marzipan to create bees. They also created flowers and other signs of spring. By the end of the class, they all had a bin of delicious treats to bring home and oh yes, they got to eat a few, too!
