Village Mayor Peter Scherer is at the scene and said with the neighborhood's power out, water pressure has been limited in the area.

"What happened when the power went out is that these pumps that would provide extra water pressure to the Skytop area failed...the amount of pressure in this area was reduced," he explained.

The Town of Mount Pleasant has loaned the village a generator to restore power to the neighborhood pumps and it is being brought online now.
