Pleasantville, Scarborough Students Admitted to Military Academies Honored by Lowey

At her annual Service Academy Recognition Ceremony, Congresswoman Nita Lowey (D-Westchester/Rockland) honored two local students for their admission to the nation’s service academies.   

Among them were Ben Bailin of Pleasantville and William Walker of Scarborough. Walker attends Hackley School. He was nominated and accepted to the United States Naval Academy. Bailin attends Byram Hills High School, and was nominated and accepted to the United States Naval Academy.

“We are all so proud of these promising young people from our community who have answered the call to serve,” said  Lowey. “I congratulate them and wish them all the best as they begin their education at our nation’s Service Academies.”
