Summer Harvest, With a Hint of Fall

Place preorders from our vendors Tues, 7:00pm – Thurs, 7:00pm. Then walk up Saturday, 8:30am – 1:00pm, to gather your preorders shop further

Labor Day weekend is not until next week. Fall is not officially here until September 22. But there are signs we're moving into a new season. Not every day is in the high 80's anymore (it will be a beautiful 75° Saturday). It's dark by 7:30pm. The River Garden has added some late season varieties of cut flowers. Fresh apples and early fall squash are starting to arrive at the Market. Pleasantly, fall does bring with it a set of welcome harvests and seasonal recipes to enjoy. Nevertheless, it's always hard to let summer go.

So get freezing or canning! This weekend our farmers want to help you to freeze or can some of the season's best flavors with:

  • a tomato sale (2-for-1 sale on select tomato varieties at Mead Orchards)
  • bulk tomato offers (Dobler Farms, Little Seed Gardens, Wright's Farm - preorder in PFM-O)
  • and a bulk peach offer (Wright's Farm - preorder in PFM-O)

Thank you for supporting our farmers and food artisans this summer. They're ready to provide for your family as we move into the next season too.
