Summer Is At The Market!
Place preorders from our vendors Tues, 7:00pm – Thurs, 7:00pm. Then walk up Saturday, 8:30am – 1:00pm, to gather preorders and shop further.

Rain or shine, summer makes its appearance at the Market every week now. Though early spring frosts greatly impacted the Hudson Valley cherry crop, you'll find luscious sweet cherries at Wright's Farm and Mead Orchards this week. Many farms, including Dobler Farms and Little Seed Gardens, are sending crisp garlic scapes (click here for some ways to use them in your kitchen). Little Seed has its first sugar snap peas, Gajeski Produce has delicious red and yellow new potatoes, and our farms have fresh greens and carrots now too. Mead Orchards and many other farms their final strawberries, a few still have asparagus, and we'll see the first raspberries and blueberries arrive soon. Chicken, duck, beef, lamb, pork and seafood items are available for your grill. With artisanal cheeses and breads, honey and jams, pickled items, fruit pies and tarts, the Market's farmers and food artisans are ready to help your summer get off to a delicious start.
This week visitors will also find PCTV tabling to highlight their new programming and summer events (8:30 - 12:15), Market Sprouts has a yoga event for kids with Jenny Minelli of Sanctuary Yoga (9:30-11:00), and our Music Series performance is by the acoustic vocal duo The Forget Me Knots (10:30 - 12:30). See you at the Market!

Since March 14, 2020 you've worked with Foodchester, and its farmers and food artisans, to ensure the Market can serve you every week. During a phase when farms saw restaurant orders pause and many farmers markets close, the Pleasantville Farmers Market remained active and vital each Saturday thanks to your use of PFMO. The Market and our vendors took on added time and cost to help support the platform each week too. Now we need your help as the pandemic has reached a calmer phase, PFMO concludes on 7/1 due to lessened usage, and our farms and food artisans are seeking to stay connected with you in this next phase. Please continue to shop directly for your week's meals with these vendors! As some producers develop the option to preorder we will share that information. Thank you so much for your continued support of your farmers and food artisans.

Lead Sponsor Northwell Health Tip:
"Authentic artisanal cheeses aid digestion through the presence of enzymes and/or anti-viral MCTs (medium-chain triglycerides). They also contain less salt than processed cheeses, and none of the dyes, preservatives, stabilizers and other unnecessary ingredients found in more conventional cheese products".
