This Saturday we'll get a taste of winter at the Pleasantville Farmers Market with temperatures low and the predominance of great food high. Gather ingredients for warming dishes such as roasted meats and root vegetables, creamy fall soups, apple pies or cobblers. Steam a pot of apples to stock up on homemade apple sauce. Get energized with superfoods such as kale, Brussels sprouts, broccoli, and cauliflower. And shop for unique bourbons, liqueurs or vodkas from visiting Cooper's Daughter Spirits. As the cooler weeks arrive please stay resolute in your support of your producers. They represent the best in environmental stewardship, are a reliable food system of regional family farms, and they arrive with the foods you love each week.
Beginning on December 5 the Pleasantville Farmers Market will shift to a preorder & pick up model to safely provide for our shoppers and producers all winter long. To get ready for the outdoor winter season (December - March) we encourage all shoppers try our online shopping platform, Pleasantville Farmers Market Online (PFM-O). Orders placed online ensure efficient pickup on Saturdays, allow a shorter market day (9:00-11:30am) and lessen exposure to cold for you, our producers and their products.
Tried Pleasantville Farmers Market Online Yet? Each week it gets better as more vendors join (Gajeski Produce preorders start 11/7) and more products become available (Pura Vida Fisheries has added a 1/2 lb option for sea scallops). There are no minimums and a single pickup fee applies to your total order, no matter how many vendors you order from.
